Lessons

Lessons are tailored to meet the musical goals of each student. Preparation for piano and theory exams through the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) is available for those individuals interested in pursuing such studies. The option is also available to have less structured lessons and to focus on certain genres of interest. An annual recital will be held each spring. Students may also choose to participate in the KW Kiwanis Festival.

Rates

Most beginning students will start with one half-hour lesson per week. Students preparing for RCM exams will need to increase their lesson times to 45 or 60 minutes as they progress to higher grades. Biweekly and occasional lessons are also available for students with busy schedules.

30 minutes - $22.00

45 minutes - $33.00

60 minutes - $44.00

Schedule

Lessons are offered on weekdays from Monday to Thursday.

Meet the Teacher

I started to study piano at the age of six and progressed through the Royal Conservatory of Music, completing up to Grade 10. As a teenager, I played piano on the worship team at my church. My teaching career started during my last year of high school when I taught several piano students. Afterwards, I chose to continue my studies in music and completed my Honours Bachelor of Music in 2006 at Wilfrid Laurier University. I am a member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association (ORMTA) and have experience teaching piano to students of various ages.
